Abstract

1,203,677. Valves. VARLEY-FMC Ltd. 30 May, 1969 [30 May, 1968], No. 25974/68. Heading F2V. A valve for use with a pump has an outer casing with two main ports A, B and two opposed pairs of auxiliary ports G, H, J, K and a rotatable cylindrical inner member 11 with an internal partition 16, which member in one angular position connects each main port with a separate pair of auxiliary ports and in another angular position displaced 90 degrees from the first reverses the connections. In a third angular position displaced 45 degrees from the other two the two main ports and the auxiliary ports intercommunicate. The inner member may be rotated by hand, piston, solenoid or electric motor.
