Abstract

1,201,942. Spray carburetters. ROOTES MOTORS Ltd. Sept.12, 1968 [June 13, 1967], No. 27288/67. Heading F1B. A carburetter throttle valve spindle 2 has a lever 3 freely mounted thereon and a lever 1 fixed thereto. The lever 3 is connected to an accelerator pedal linkage and the lever 1 or the spindle 2 is connected to a choke control for rotating the throttle valve from a slow idling to a fast idling position. Ears 6 and 11 on the lever 1 co-operate with an arm 5 and an ear 11 on the lever 3 to provide for limited relative rotation between the levers. The adjustable stop 8 determines the minimum throttle opening and therefore the slow idling position of the lever 1.
