Abstract
1,201,155. Partitions. METAL SECTIONS Ltd. 31 Oct., 1967 [31 Oct., 1966; 5 Dec., 1966], Nos. 48684/66 and 54254/66. Heading E1W. Partition panels 10 are attached to floor plates (Figs. 1, 4, not shown), columns 23, or similar panels (Fig. 3, not shown), by nuts and bolts, e.g. 27 and 26, the nuts, or the heads of the bolts (as shown) being located in undercut channel-sectioned members 25 fixed to the floor, column, or a similar member respectively, and the co-operating element being at least partly located in a space 12 formed near the edge of the panel. The panels, which are described and claimed in the co-pending Specification No. 1,115,871 are formed with a removable facing sheet 13 to gain access to sheet metal boxes 12 forming the spaces therein. A square nut 21 non-rotatably mounted in a channel 18 (Fig. 1) fixed to a floor is forced upwards by a spring clip 22. As shown, the bolts 26 have square heads so as to be non- rotatable in the channels 25, into which they are slid from one end. In the embodiments of Figs. 3-5, bolts which transversely elongate rectangular heads are employed, the heads being insertable transversely into the channels and rotated through an angle of less than 90‹ by the nuts, whereafter the nuts can be tightened.
