Abstract

1,120,632. Buildings. W. MALLINSON & SONS Ltd. 30 Nov., 1965 [28 Sept., 1964], No. 39421/64. Heading E1W. Panels 25, 26, and 31, of e.g. wood or, chipboard, are hung on studs 21 which may be of hollow box-section as shown, or may be .solid wooden studs of rectangular orosssection (Figs. 7, 8, not shown), by means of clips e.g. 28, having resilient depending portions 29 fitting over the horizontal flanges of channel members 22 (as shown), or over horizontal flat steel strips 42 (Figs. 7, 8, not shown), fixed to the studs. The appropriate parts of the horizontal members have a resilient covering 24 of, e.g., rubber. Single studs may be employed, or double studs (as shown) held spaced apart by, e.g., box-sectioned spacers 32 (as shown). The infill panels 31, which are employed with double studs, are fixed over the spacers in the same way as the panels are fixed to the studs. There is a resilient layer 27 provided between the studs and the panels.
