Abstract

1,191,698. Electromagnetic contactors. CIE ELECTRO-MECANIQUE. 17 July, 1967 [27 July, 1966], No. 32682/67. Heading H1N. Auxiliary contact units are detachably mounted on a contactor casing enclosing the main contacts. A carrier 8 attached to the contactor armature 7 supports a plurality of contact bridges 10 which co-operate with fixed contacts 11. Auxiliary contact units 15 have divided casing parts with legs 22 with projections which engage surfaces if of the contactor casing 1. The auxiliary contact units may have contact bridges 18 (Fig. 1) on a carrier 17 urged by a spring 19 and arranged to operate with the main contacts or the units may be bridges 25 (Fig. 5) movable by a pushbutton 27 against the bias of a spring 26 to bridge main contacts 11 in series with the contactor coil. Fig. 8 shows an alternative method of securing the auxiliary contact units with a pointed screw li.
