Abstract

858,234. Electromagnetic relays. LONDEX Ltd. May 20, 1958 [May 31, 1957], No. 17312/57. Class 38 (5). A magnetic core 1, 2 is clamped around a conductor 6 and carries a magnetic plate 7 on which is pivoted an armature 11 arranged to be attracted to the core when it is energized by excessive current in the conductor. The armature acts on a blade spring 14 carrying an actuator pin 13 for the contacts 9, 10. The core has two parts 1, 2 which are clamped together by screws or bolts (not shown) in holes 3, and is shaped as shown in Fig. 2 in order to produce a strong magnetic field intensified at the faces 21, 21a adjacent to the armature.
