Abstract
1,187,542. Unloading material from vehicles. L. ROSSI. 23 Jan., 1968 [26 Jan., 1967], No. 3504/68. Heading B8E. [Also in Division Bl] A rotating mixer or other container vehicle is discharged by an endless belt conveyer 7-9. The conveyer sections are pivotally connected at 10, 11 and can be folded into a stowed position with the section 7 in a housing lengthwise of the vehicle. The section 7 can be withdrawn from the housing and is supported at its inner end on a vertical swivel so that it can be moved laterally of the vehicle while the sections 8, 9 stowed in an upright position can be straightened and locked together. The straightening of the sections 8, 9 is controlled by a crane mounted on the section 7 while the inclination of all three sections is controlled by a cable from a framework 42 which is so controlled by a winch drum that it is payed out as the section 7 is extended to keep it horizontal while in the fully extended position, the cable can raise the sections together to an inclined position to raise the discharge point.
