Abstract

1, 186,841. Controlling reversal development with charged insulator. FUJI SHASHIN FILM K.K. Jan.18, 1968 [Jan.18, 1967], No.2837/68. Heading G2H. Reversal development of latent electrostatic images is carried out under the influence of a charged insulator e.g. a photo-conductive insulating layer 3 having the same dark attenuation characteristics as the image bearing layer 1 and charged to the same polarity as said latent image. The developer may be supplied from nozzle 6, charged by annular high-voltage electrode 8 and delivered via nozzle 9 Fig.1. As shown in Fig.2 the developer may be a liquid 21, and latent image layer 11 and charged insulator 13 may be backed by suction plates 12 and 14 which may be insulating or conducting or electrically connected.
