Abstract
1,185,960. N - Hydrocarbylmercaptomethyl amidophosphoric acid derivatives. UNION RHEINISCHE BRAUNKOHLEN KRAFTSTOFF A.G. 18 Dec., 1968 [15 Jan., 1968], No. 60167/68. Heading C2C. N - Hydrocarbylmercaptomethyl amido - phosphoroxy derivatives are obtained by reacting phosphorus oxytriamide or an alkyl or phenyl ester of amidophosphoric acid with formaldehyde and then reacting the product with an alkyl or phenyl mercaptan in the presence of an inorganic acid, e.g. HC1 or H 2 SO 4 . Specified products obtainable are those of the formula R.S.CH 2 .N(Q).P(O)(X)(Y) wherein X is -OR or -N(CH 2 SR) 2 , Y is -OR<SP>1</SP> or N(CH 2 SR) 2 , Q is H or is R-S-CH 2 -and R and R<SP>1</SP> are C 1 -C 7 alkyl radicals or are phenyl and the invention includes such products per se. The process can be effected with paraformaldehyde or with aqueous formaldehyde solutions and an organic solvent, e.g. acetone or alcohol may be present. Examples are given for the production of N,N,N<SP>1</SP>,N<SP>1</SP>,N<SP>11</SP>,N<SP>11</SP>-hexakis methyl (and phenyl) mercaptomethyl phosphoroxy triamides, N,N,N<SP>1</SP>,N<SP>1</SP>-tetrakisethylmercaptomethyl diamido phosphoric acid monoethyl (and monophenyl) esters and N-ethylmercaptomethyl amidophosphoric acid diphenyl ester. The products have insecticidal and bactericidal properties.
