Abstract
1,184,223. Moving magnet switches. AUTOBRZDY JABLONEC, NARODNI PODNIK. 31 March, 1967 [2 April, 1966], No. 14749/67. Heading H1N. A liquid level indicator includes a switch 6 in the indicator circuit having a movable contact 11 on a flexible arm 9 carrying a permanent magnet 10 which supports the weight of the float 3 while the level of liquid is above a critical level. Magnet 10 co-operates with a permanent magnet 16 on the float arm 4 and/or the arm may be magnetic, Fig. 3 (not shown). Magnet 16 is ring-shaped and encircles a depression 15 in the non-magnetic cover 2 of the metal reservoir 1, magnet 10 being received in the depression 15. Arm 4 is hinged at 5 to cover 2, which is non-magnetic. A bendable lug 17 on arm 4 allows for some adjustment. The arm 4 may be non-magnetic, but with a ferromagnetic plate thereon below magnet 10. A lamp 7 shows the level, e.g. of a vehicle brake fluid reservoir 1.
