Abstract
1,183,605. Polyolefin articles. STAMICARBON N.V. 1.9 April, 1967 [20 April, 1966], No. 18000/67. Heading C3P. Continuous non-round sections are moulded from crystalline polyolefins having a warpage factor of less than 0.65 or whose warpage factor is controlled to such level by a warpage factor controlling compound. The polyolefin may be a polymer or copolymer of ethylene, propylene, butene, isobutene, pentene or 4- methylpentene-1, optionally with other monomers, e.g. acrylic and alkacrylic acids, salts and esters. The warpage factor may be controlled by adding a minor proportion of an inorganic or organic substance, particularly an organic pigment. Compositions of polyethylene and various pigments are described, and sections suitable for sealing strips, door fillets and window frames may be produced.
