1,182,523. Headrests for seats. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. 29 Jan., 1968 [21 March, 1967], No. 4576/68. Addition to 1,161,330. Heading A4J. The frictional setting devices of the angularly adjustable and stowable headrest of the parent specification are replaced by stub shafts (30, 50) having square or polygonal sections 34, 54, which fit into corresponding holes 27, 47 in the ends 26, 46 of the sleeves 23, 43 welded to the head rest supporting tube 11. To swing the headrest down into a stowed position, below and behind the top of the backrest of a car front seat, the mating engagement between the square or polygonal sections is released, by sliding tube 11 to the right to compress springs 40, so that holes 27, 47 engage the cylindrical sections 35, 55 of the shafts (30, 50).
