A cot of adjustable length has dismountable side and end members, which can be re-assembled in different ways to give different forms of bed. When in the form of a cot, one removable side gate may be lowerable on vertical guide bars. In another form, a section 20c can be detached from a lowerable side gate 15c. In Fig. 18 (not shown), the removable section is modified to slide on horizontal rails (16c, 17c). In Figs 16 and 17 (not shown), it is arranged to open like a pair of doors.
