Abstract

1,181,053. Composite hose and cable. PLASTIC TUBE & CONDUIT CO. Ltd. 24 Jan., 1969 [26 Feb., 1968], No. 9265/68. Heading F2P. A composite hose and cable comprises two cores embedded side-by-side within a sheath 3 of plastics material, e.g. nylon, one core comprising a first tube 1 of plastics material and the second core comprising at least one further tube 5 of plastics material laid up with at least one electrical cable. In the construction shown the second core is wrapped with tape 7 so that the two cores can be readily passed through a machine for the extrusion of the sheath. The second core is also provided with a centre strand 6 and a wire may be embedded in the sheath.
