Hoods; supported above and out of contact with head.-A personal cover to act as a substitute for an umbrella consists of one or more pieces of transparent or opaque waterproof material A fitting over the hat and shoulders and extending as far down the body as desired. It is provided with a window B opposite the eyes, a button or the like D for securing the garment to the wearer's coat, and ventilating openings such as between the top part C and the main part. When the main part is made of more than one piece, the pieces may be detachably or permanently secured together, and ventilating spaces may be provided between the pieces, as indicated in Fig. III. When not required, the cover may be folded up and carried in the packet &c.
