A head-rest for a vehicle seat comprises a pair of curved shoulder pieces 7, secured by elastic bands 9 and hooks 8 to the base of the seat or to the floor of the vehicle and by clips 6 to uprights 3, 4 secured to the ends of a cushion 1. The clips 6 allow the shoulder pieces 7 and the uprights 3, 4 to pivot. The uprights 3, 4 may be tellescopic (Fig. 2).
