Abstract
1,170,889. Combs; hair brushes. H. E. WRIGHT. 17 June, 1968, No. 28806/68. Headings A4K and A4V. A device for cleaning the hair consists of a brush or comb wherein the bristles or teeth at least are coated with a permanently tacky adhesive material. The spaces between the teeth or bristles, on the backing member of the comb or brush, may also be so coated. The tacky material is preferably a butadiene-styrene rubber based adhesive, and is applied as a solution in a volatile solvent, either by spraying or dipping; the material should withstand washing the brush or comb. The comb and the backing of the brush are conventionally made of e.g. wood, vulcanised rubber, metal or plastics materials.
