Abstract

1,168,985. Door closing appliance with concealed securing means. J. I. ADAMS. 30 Jan., 1967, No. 4439/67. Heading E2M. A door closing appliance, adapted to be secured to the door adjacent the top edge and of the kind comprising a closing spring and a hydraulic check mechanism, has a body portion 10 having a skin 12 adapted to abut against the surface to which the appliance is secured, at least one bracket 11 adapted to be fixed to the said surface and having a projecting rim or lugs 17 which enter within the skirt, and means for securing the skirt portion to the rim or lugs. The securing means may comprise screws 15 or bolts which engage holes in the rim or lugs, the heads of the screws or bolts being flush with the exterior surface of the skirt. The invention thus provides concealed securing means.
