Abstract

1,168,280. Roller conveyers. INGENJÍRSFIRMA HEBE A.B. 23 Dec., 1966, No. 57711/66. Heading B8A. A roller conveyer suitable for use with a cutting machine for sheet metal comprises chain driven shafts 10 carrying cast iron roller discs 11, the shafts being mounted for horizontal angular movement on beams 2, 3, which support shaft bearings 8, 9, the beam 3 being movable longitudinally by an hydraulic cylinder 5. Along each side of the conveyer are rollers 18, 21 on normally vertical shafts. Floor plates 14 are provided above the shafts 10. In use, as a metal sheet is conveyed on the discs 11, the edges of the sheet are brought into engagement with the rollers 18 or 21 by horizontal skewing of the shafts 10. The conveyer is then braked and the rollers 18, 21 are pivoted clear of the sheet. After cutting, the pieces are carried away by restarting the conveyer or by lifting them from the conveyer.
