Abstract

Resistance ovens.-A box cooker with double walls packed with cork or other insulating material is provided with heating means consisting of an electric lamp connected to a lighting circuit by a flex passed through an opening which serves as an observation opening. As shown in Fig. 1, the lamp f rests on a plate e beneath a support for the cooking vessel h. A plate-heating chamber may be provided in the cover of the box as shown at 7, Fig. 2. The food to be cooked may be heated by other means before insertion into the box.
