Abstract

1,167,129. Tanks with floating roofs. GENERAL AMERICAN TRANSPORTATION CORP. 28 June, 1968 [9 Oct., l967] No. 31146/68. Heading E1T. An annular seal 30 between a tank 11 and its floating roof 26 is of the reinforced crosssection shown and is provided with spaced box flanges 36, 37 for location purposes, the seal being secured to the roof 26 by bolts 50 passing through apertured clamping bars 40, 45. The link is also provided with a fixed roof mounted on posts which serve as guides for the floating roof. For minor details of seal including material employed and dimensions the Specification should be referred to.
