116,545. Hoyle, J. K. June 15, 1917. Rope railways; travelling ropeway conveyers.-A rope railway in which the carrier rope is endless has the supports built up of units. The topmost unit has a transverse support f carrying guidepulleys at each end being adjustable in height practically through the height of the unit. At the terminal stations the carrier rope is led below the height of the fixed support and passes round a drum fixed near the level of the ground. 'rhe fixed guide-rail is carried on similar unit supports. A rope grip suitable for negotiating sharp bends consists of a frame t carrying a central runner wheel w and pivoted grips s at each end; x, x are lateral guides.
