A tubular metal framework guard which may be enclosed to form a cab has U-shaped side members 10, 11, 12 interconnected by transverse members 20 and 21 to form one sub-frame, the members 14, 15 and 19 being welded to the side frames to form a second sub-frame below the other. Suitable braces and gusset plates are provided at the joints between the members.
