Abstract

1,160,095. Spray carburetters. A. M. BINDER. Aug. 19, 1966 [Oct. 11, 1965], No. 37303/66. Heading F1B. [Also in Division G3] The fuel flow to a nozzle 20 is controlled by a fluid amplifier 16 comprising a fuel inlet 32 the flow through which is split between fuel delivery passage 34, connected to nozzle 22, and fuel return passage 36. The proportion of the fuel supply directed into passage 34 is controlled by the suction in a transverse passage 38 connected to atmosphere at 46 and to the intake pipe 24 at 30, the opening 46 being adjustable by a manual valve 48. The amplifier is formed in a block 16 of plastics material, cavities 42, 41, being provided in communication with the flange 34, 36, and a recess 44 being provided opposite the passage 32.
