1,159,373. Hydraulic binders. KNAPSACK A.G. 27 Feb., 1968 [22 March, 1967], No. 9454/68. Heading C1H. An hydraulic binder suitable for making concrete consists of 10-80% by weight of slag, ground to cement fineness and originating from the electrothermal production of phosphorus, with the balance being cement. The binder can be made by grinding the slag together with the cement clinker or by mixing ground slag with ground cement. Slag is ground to a Blaine Index of 3470 sq. cm./gm. and mixed with Portland cements of Blaine Index 2490 and 4140.
