Cement is obtained by calcining a raw mix having a lime saturation factor (defined) not less than 0À68 at a temperature not above 1380‹ C. until the free lime content is 1À5-15%, then grinding the clinker with additives. 30-70% of slag can be co-ground. The grinding gives a specific surface of at least 3500 cm.<SP>2</SP>/gm.
