Abstract

1,159,048. Two-part couplings. COMETA S.a.r.l. 12 Oct., 1967 [27 Oct., 1966], No. 46552/67. Heading H2E. In a socket connector for a plug-in assembly, blade terminals 8, which are connected to respective socket contacts (not shown), each are accessible through three apertures 29, 28 (31, Fig. 2, not shown) in, respectively, the upper, side, and lower wall of the connector body 2, so that a lead wire may be led in either through an aperture 29 or 31 and secured to a terminal 8 by a screw (16, Figs. 5 and 6, not shown), or through an aperture 28 and secured to a terminal by a clip. Each socket contact is aligned with an opening 5 in the upper face of the body 2, and bores 21 receive bolts which mount the connector on a metal sheet (18, Figs. 5 and 6) so that the sheet (18) lies against either the upper face 2a or the lower face of the body 2. Octagonal polarizing projections (24) are secured in apertures 23 by screws (34) which also fasten a cover to the lower face of the body 2.
