Abstract
1,154,495. Measuring fluid rate of flow electrically. GEORGE KENT Ltd. Feb. 7, 1968 [Feb.8, 1967], No.5995/67. Heading G1N. The mass rate of flow M through a conduit of a gas mixture subjected to high-pressure and temperature is expressed by an equation involving the volumetric rate of flow, determined by the pressure drop across an orifice, and the upstream density, temperature and pressure of the gas mixture, the relationship being based on Van der Waal's equation, and the calculation being performed by an electrical computer. The equation involves the density at standard temperature and pressure, and an alternative equation relates M to the "reduced volume flow" Q at the standard temperature and pressure.
