Abstract

1,153,533. Shovelling machines. CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO. 17 April, 1967 [6 June, 1966], No. 17498/67. Heading E1F. An improved tilt linkage for the shovel 10 of a tractor-mountable shovel loader unit, the linkage being designed to, for all positions of, the vertically swingable, shovel-carrying boom of the unit, remain clear of boomraising jacks 16 trunnion-mounted within brackets 13 clampable to the sides of a tractor. The linkage involves swing arms 32 pivoted within the brackets 13 below the pivot axis 12 of the boom and to levers 39 below the pivot axis 30 of the levers with respect to the boom. Above the axis 30 the levers 29 are pivotally coupled to rams 27 connected at 25 to swing levers 23 connected to the boom and to the bucket.
