Abstract

1,151,150. Electric battery lamps. CHUNG MEI METAL & PLASTIC FTY. Ltd. 6 May, 1968, No. 21266/68. Heading F4R. A battery lamp comprises a casing 10 consisting of two relatively shallow dish-shaped parts 11, 12 hinged together at 13, one part 12 housing a frame 25 carrying a pair of bulb sockets 26, 28 at right-angles to one another and the other part 11 housing a switch device 23 having a pair of operating knobs (24, 25, Fig. 1, not shown) for controlling the bulbs independently. The casing parts are held closed by a spring 21 and carry the respective halves 18A, 18B of a red hood which encloses the bulb 27, and the part 11 has a window structure 14 with an aperture 16 through which the bulb 29 projects. The frame 25 is adapted to hold two pairs of dry cells in series as shown by the arrows, the cells of each pair being in parallel. A carrying handle 19 pivoted to the part 11 may also be used as a stand.
