Abstract

1,149,373. Resilient mountings. SIMONACCO Ltd. 28 April, 1966 [8 May, 1965], No. 19512/65. Heading F2S. A resilient mounting, particularly for supporting a vibratory screen or feeder 8 having an inclined direction of vibratory motion, comprises a bracket 2 which is fixed to a mounting frame 4 and which carries an angle member 32, and a bracket 6 which is bolted to the side of the screen body 8, a resilient pad 10 of rubber or similar material being bolted to one pair of parallel sides of the brackets 2, 6 which extend in the direction of vibratory motion and a coil spring 24, with its axis in the same direction, being secured between the other parallel sides of the brackets 2, 6. The pad 10, which is bonded to upper and lower steel plates bolted to the brackets 2, 6, includes a bonded stiffening plate 14 and is adjustable along the bracket 2 by means of a channel iron 16 which is interposed between the lower plate 12 and the fixed bracket 2 and is movable by a pair of screens 20, only one shown, each of which threadedly engages an L- bracket 18 fixed to the bracket 2 and co-operates with the channel iron 16. Elongated holes 22 in the bracket 2 allow the adjustment to take place. The spring 24 is mounted by spigots 26, 26, the upper of which is carried by the bracket 6, the lowermost being mounted on a plate 30 which is adjustably secured to the angle 32 by means of bolts located in extended holes 34. The coil spring 24 could be replaced by a flexible pad. The critical frequency of the pad is arranged to be well removed from that of the spring 24.
