Abstract
1,146,397. Knitting machines &c. KARL MAYER TEXTILMASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. 2 March, 1967 [10 March, 1966], No. 9926/67. Heading D1C. Patterning is achieved on a warp machine by selectively varying the tension in the warp yarns. To this end warp yarns are fed from a supply 2, over stationary bars 7, 8 and beneath wires supported in brackets 9 supported by the bars 7, 8. A further bar 11 movably supported on an arm 12 carries wires in 'brackets 13 such that selective movement of the arm 12 causes the warp yarns to be engaged and deflected upwardly by the wires supported in brackets 13 whereby the warp yarns are tensioned as they engage beneath the wires in brackets 9.
