1,144,574. Circuits for glow plug igniters. C.A.V. Ltd. Aug.23, 1966 [Oct.8, 1965], No.42726/65. Heading F1B. The circuit of a combustion chamber heater 1 includes a ballast resistor 2 in parallel with a normally closed thermally operable switch 5. When the manually operable switch 4 is closed, current flows to the heater 1 through resistor 2 and through switch 5 until a heater resistor 6 causes opening of switch 5, whereby the current to the heater is reduced.
