Abstract

1,113,846. 846. Temperature-sensitive resistors. DANFOSS A.S. Feb.15, 1967 [March 5, 1966], No. 7193/67. Heading H1K. [Also in Division F4] A negative temperature coefficient resistor has a U-shaped body consisting of silicon carbide granules bonded with silicon oxynitride. Such a resistor is resistant to the conditions found in gas or oil flames and may be used as an ignition element or may be placed in series with the solenoid of an electrically actuated valve to turn off the fuel supply on flame-out.
