Abstract
1,144,056. Seed drilling machines. LAND MASCHINENBAU BERNBURG VEB. 2 March, 1966, No. 9132/66. Heading A1D. A seed drilling machine comprising drills, ground-engaging wheels, a main frame and a first frame adapted to be coupled to a tractor three point linkage, the first frame being connected to and movable relative to the main frame, includes a mechanism, operated in response to movement of the three point linkage, for raising the drills before the main frame is raised and for lowering the drills after the main frame is lowered. The machine has two parallel and interconnected lever arms 22, 23 mounted respectively on the first frame 1 and the main frame 5. The frames are interconnected by arms 6, 7, 7A. The arm 23 is connected to a lifting mechanism 27A, 27B and the arm 22 is connected via arm 20 and link 19 to an arm 16 which forms one of three arms 14-15, which together with a pulley 13 are pivotally mounted at 12. The arms 14 and 15 have connected thereto the ends of a cable 11 which passes around the pulley 13 and a pulley 10 which is attached to a point 9 or the tractor. When the three point linkage is raised the distance between the points 9 and 12 increases and the arm 14 is caused to rotate clockwise, thus effecting lifting of the drills. The main frame is raised when arms 7, 7A engage pins 8, 8A. When the arm 14 is rotated clockwise it may be engaged by a locking device 29 thus holding the drills in their raised position.
