Abstract

1,139,478. Suspension files. W. LENNARTZ. 23 Feb., 1967 [25 Feb., 1966], No. 8657/67. Heading B6E. A suspension file 1, Fig. 1, having front cover 1 and a rear cover 2 joined together by a spine 3 is made from a rectangular blank of transparent plastic sheet or lay-flat tube to define covers 1, 2 of double layers 4, 5 folded over to form the spine and folded over at spaced distances along the free transverse edges to form reinforced four-layer suspension rails 8, 9. Intermediate their lengths the rails are provided with metallic suspension fillings 10 having a suspension nose 14. The latter may also be formed from the plastics material by surface welding. The suspension rails when provided with suspension fittings 10 or surface weld produced noses are. formed with four open-ended pockets 15, 16, 17, 18 into which may be inserted index tabs. 21, 22 or coloured file identifying tabs 19, 20.
