Abstract

1,136,100. Securing wheels on hubs. ROVER CO. Ltd. 31 Jan., 1967 [1 Feb., 1966], No. 4305/66. Heading B7C. A vehicle hub 1 with radial flange 2 carrying the usual wheel-mounting studs 4, is connected to receive a centre-lock fixing wheel 13 by an adaptor 5 having a flange 6 to be fixed to flange 2 by nuts 10 engaging the studs, and a cylindrical part 8 to receive the centre lock nut 17. Torque is transmitted by cylindrical nut parts 12 engaging complementary recesses in the wheel.
