Abstract
1,134,980. Magnetic lifting yokes. H. NIELSON & SON MASKINFABRIK A.S. 23 Oct., 1967 [2 Nov., 1966], No. 48152/67. Heading B8H. A magnetic lifting yoke 2, Fig. 1, comprises beams 3, 4 joined by lattice members 5 from which are suspended magnets 6 for lifting iron bars 7. The magnets are suspended for rotation about their longitudinal axes by slings 9 which pass round end-pins 8 of the magnets. The slings 9, Fig. 2, pass upwards from the pins 8 round resiliently supported pulleys 5 and down to a shaft 14 round which they are wound. Alternatively the slings may be connected to pulleys 17 or to two-armed levers 18, Fig. 3 (not shown). The shaft 14 extends the length of the yoke and is rotated by a motor 12, Fig. 1.
