Abstract

1,134,559. Connecting means. ALU-THERM WILLI MEYER & CO. 21 Nov., 1966, No. 51948/66. Heading E1K [Also in Division A4] A butting profiled strips 52, 54 of metal or plastic, having adjoining grooves 58, 59 with cylindrical bores perpendicular thereto, are joined by an angular anchor element 55 having cylindrical end parts engaging in the grooves and bores of the strips. The strips may form the sides of a two or three dimensional frame; the latter being connected at the corner joint by anchor elements between the respective members 50, 54; 52, 54 and 50, 52. The anchor elements or the cylindrical bores may have a taper head to assist the insertion of the element when the joint is pre-loaded.
