Abstract
1,134,349. Toy gun. G. FERRI and J. MARINAI. 12 Aug., 1966 [18 Aug., 1965], No. 36153/66. Heading A6S. A cap-strip firing gun whereby on detonation of the cap a previously exploded cap is sheared off the strip and ejected, and wherein said capstrip is housed in a guide which is movable in the portion adjacent to the shearing zone, such movement being between the shearing- blade and firing pin, both fixed, and a movable percussion body, movement of the latter against the guide causing its movement against the firing pin and shearing blade thus causing cap detonation and shearing of a previously detonated cap. The firing mechanism of such a gun is illustrated in Figures 2 and 3. The percussion body 17 is. forced back against the spring 19 by movement of the trigger 21. Further movement of the trigger would release the percussion body which would move to and with the guide 11 which is pivoted about the pin 12. Such a movement would force the cap C 1 against the firing pin 7a causing detonation. Simultaneously a previously exploded cap would be sheared off of the strip by the blade 7b, said cap being then ejected from the gun. Upward movement of the cap strip is controlled by the tooth 27a of the element 27, to the tooth penetrating through the slot 14 of the guide 11. Such upward movement is controlled by the firing trigger movement, element 27 being linked at 26 to the trigger arm 21a, see Figure 3. On the return trigger movement, the inclined corner of 27a is deflected outwardly by the shape of the tooth of the cap strip until it assumes its original position.
