Abstract

113,193. Wareing, B. April 28, 1917. Hair slides; catches and hinged joints for pins. -Metallic hinge and catch fittings are fixed, without riveting, to celluloid, and like parts of hair-slides, brooches, and the like by providing them with tapering shanks of rectangular section which are forced into recesses drilled into, but not through, the celluloid &c. Fig. 1 shows a hair-slide in which the fastening-loop c is pivoted in knuckles a<4> formed by turning over tongues a<3> of a blank shown in Fig. 9. The ends of the wire loop c are turned up or flattened. The catch b is shown in elevation in Fig. 4.
