Abstract

1,130,852. Storage bunkers. HANMADE CONVEYOR CO. Ltd. 2 Feb., 1966 [23 March, 1965], No. 12127/65. Heading B8E. A mine storage bunker apparatus comprises a supply conveyer 11, a discharge conveyer 15, and a false bottom of variable length in the form of a belt 18. A plough 14 on a carriage 14a is movable along the top of the bunker to discharge the coal into the bunker and thence to the discharge conveyer 15. The belt 18 is anchored at 19 to the bunker and then passes round a drum 20 on a carriage 30 and thence round pulleys to be anchored to ropes 22 which pass round pulley 23 to be anchored at 24. The pulleys 23 are mounted on a carriage 25 connected by a chain to a sprocket 29 drivable in either direction. The plough 14 is connected by a chain 35 from each end 33, 34 to the sprocket 29 so that as the plough is moved along the bunker the belt 18 is moved in company therewith.
