1,129,375. Sieve drum driers. H. FLEISSNER, H. FLEISSNER, and G. FLEISSNER, [trading as ESTABLISHMENT FOR AUTOMATION]. 28 June, 1966 [2 July, 1965], No. 28844/66. Heading F4G. [Also in Division D1] In apparatus for the treatment of fibrous material, e.g. drying, steaming, setting of tow, top, fabric, loose fibrous material, at least two sieve drums are provided in a closed housing, and one fan is provided to subject at least two sieve drums to suction. Several sieve drums are preferably provided in staggered relationship so that the material follows a zig-zag path, the portion of the drum not contacted by the material being baffled. In a preferred embodiment an intermediate suction chamber 3 is provided between the end faces of the drums III and IV and the fan 4. Several fans may be associated with one intermediate chamber which is provided with closable openings, Fig. 3 (not shown).
