Abstract
1,125,032. Heating feedwater. WORTHING- TON CORP. 20 March, 1967 [22 April, 1966], No. 12948/67. Heading F4A. The tubes 18 of a steam-heated feedwater heater are connected at opposite to multiple headers 17, 20, which are connected to the limbs of bifurcated distribution and collection headers 15, 22. The headers 17 are staggered in relation to one another and alternate ones are connected by pipes 16, Fig. 4, to the opposite limbs of the distribution header 15; similarly the headers 20 are connected alternately by pipes 21 to the limbs 22. Feedwater enters at 14 and leaves at 23, the steam entering at 34 and being guided by a horizontal baffle 25. A vertical baffle 24 and tube support grid 39 are also provided.
