Abstract

1,121,410. Pneumatic conveyers. NEWAYGO ENG. CO. 8 Feb., 1967 [17 June, 1966], No. 6090/67. Heading B8A. Granular material in a hopper 3 passes through a valve, controlled by a pneumatic ram in a housing 40, into a fluidizing chamber 10, containing a fluidizing nozzle 60, Fig. 3, which directs an annular stream of air spiralling downwardly into the chamber, and thence the fluidized material passes into a discharge pipe 75. The fluidized material passes up the pipe 75, through a valve 73 into a pipe 76 which is provided with a Venturi unit 80, Fig. 5. A vent pipe from the chamber 10 is provided with a pneumatically controlled valve, Fig. 9 (not shown). A pneumatic circuit for controlling the timed cycle of operations is described, Fig. 8 (not shown).
