Abstract

1,118,899. Caps for bottles. CONTINENTAL CAN CO. Inc. 18 April, 1967 [13 May, 1966], No. 17776/67. Heading B8T. A cap having a top-panel 21 and a depending skirt 14 is lined or partially lined with a plastomeric composition, e.g. puffed plastisol, wherein a plurality of vertical ribs 25 are formed and when the cap is pushed on to a screwthreaded bottle neck, the inside surface of the lining deforms to form a thread so that the cap may be screwed off. The deformation may tako place while the lining is heated. The cap may be prized off if desired. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,044,419.
