Abstract
1,115,102. Pneumatic tyres. PNEUMATIQUES, CAOUTCHOUC MANUFACTURE ET PLASTIQUES KLEBER-COLOMBES. 14 Jan., 1966 [14 Jan., 1965], No. 1941/66. Heading B7C. A pneumatic tyre comprises a radial cord carcass ply 10 of which the edges 11 terminate in the region of greatest axial width of the tyre and are separated from the central part of the ply by a rubber layer 17, of a thickness between one and a half to five times that of the ply 10, so as to obviate separation of the ends 11. The layer 17 is preferably of sidewall rubber and the cord ends are encased in hard gum staple 18. The beads are stiffened by a filler 19, bias-laid cord strips 20 and a hard gum strip 2].
