Abstract
1,114,139. Waste gas disposal. VEREINIGTE OSTERREICHISCHE EISENUND STAHLWERKE A.G. 26 Aug., 1965 [2 Sept., 1964], No. 36746/65. Heading F4X The waste gases issuing from a waste gas socket 5 of an arc furnace 1 pass into a pipe 8, which is swingable in a horizontal plane on a hinged support 9 and is connected to a cable bridge 15 of the furnace by an articulated linkage 10, the arrangement being such that the open end of pipe 8 follows the operational movement of the furnace 1 and is always immediately above the socket 5. The linkage 5 consists of two arms joined together by a fork joint and joined to the bridge 15 by a ball joint and to pipe 8 by a pin and socket joint.
