Abstract
111,325. Campbell, J. A. Nov. 18, 1916. Linings for the fronts of men's waistcoats, jackets, and overcoats, and for corresponding articles of women's and children's wear are sewn only along one edge so that they can be made to cover the body in cold weather or drawn backwards, forwards, upwards, or downwards when not required. In the example shown, the lining is stitched to the waistcoat along the under arm seam, and a series of cords or the like A, Fig. 1, running horizontally from the under arm seam to within an inch of the buttonholes engage rings sewn to the inside of the lining, while other cords A, Fig. 2, attached to the outside of the lining run through rings B, are secured on the outside of the lining, and are connected to a draw-cord C whereby the lining can be drawn back under the arm. The lining is fastened at its outer edges by buttons or other detachable fastenings
