Abstract
Novel compounds of formula <FORM:1109527/C2/1> wherein R1 is H or R11, R11 is C1- 4 alkyl and R is one of <FORM:1109527/C2/2> attached by either ring A or B, and their salts with organic or inorganic bases, are prepared by hydrolysis of the corresponding nitriles. The novel compound have choleretic activity. Nitriles of formula R.R1.R11.C-CN are prepared from compounds of formula R.CH2.CN by reaction with alkyl halides.
